SPATZI, DRY FURMINT 2024, TOKAJI, HUNGARY $15.99 A crisp and lively white, the 2024 Spatzi Dry Furmint captures the essence of Tokaj’s volcanic soils and historic terroir with clarity and verve. Aromas of green apple, quince, and lemon peel are accented by white flowers and a smoky, stony edge. The palate is taut and refreshing, with driving acidity, subtle orchard-fruit sweetness (subtle being the operative word, don’t fall for the misconception that all Tokaji is sweet!), and a clean, mineral-laced finish that lingers with saline. We recommend pairing with pasta or meat dishes like creamy salmon or crispy roast pork tenderloin served with mushroom sauce and apple. Cheers! Egészségedre!

R. STUART & CO. ‘BIG FIRE’ PINOT GRIS 2023, WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OREGON $17.99 (MIXED) A staff favorite winery at Highland Fine Wine, we are thrilled to bring you the R. Stuart Pinot Gris! Rob Stuart is a Pacific Northwest veteran winemaker, and both his personality and his winemaking style are warm and accessible. This Oregonian Pinot Gris showcases the variety's potential beyond simple whites. The 2023 vintage offers aromas of pear, honeysuckle and wet stone. The medium-bodied palate delivers flavors of yellow apple, lemon curd and a touch of ginger, with refreshing acidity. Whole cluster pressed and fermented cool in stainless steel, it finishes clean with a pleasant bitter almond note. Pair with oysters or any seafood-based risotto!

LABOURÉ-ROI, PARCELLES D’EXCELLENCE CHARDONNAY 2023, BURGUNDY, FRANCE $14.99 The history of Labouré-Roi is closely linked to that of Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of the iconic Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1832, Labouré-Roi is today one of the most respected names in Burgundy. These historical roots in the heart of one of the most fragmented and exacting wine-producing regions in the world have shaped a philosophy focused on excellence and discovery. This wine, with its perfect balance between aromatic power and minerality, has a true southern identity. A fine, complex nose with notes of vine peach, citrus and hawthorn accent this selection with a full- bodied and elegant palette of citrus and white blossoms. Ideal with hors-d’œuvres, buffets, cold appetizers, roast chicken or grilled salmon.

CA’ GIALLA, ROERO ARNEIS 2023, PIEDMONT, ITALY 15.99 (MIXED) Ca’ Gialla is the nickname of the house where winemaker Marco Porello’s cellar is located, and what a cellar it is! All of Marco’s wines are farmed naturally without the use of herbicides or pesticides, Marco working towards his organic certification. This particular selection from his carefully tended-vineyards is crisp and fresh with notes of pear and minerals and a hint of apricot. Ca’ Gialla comes across a bit more floral than most of the Arneis that you’ll find out there, with that nice hint of almond that we look for in top examples of this native Roero varietal. Pair with delicate fish or white meat, notably any dish that features thyme, as the flavors work in perfect harmony.

CROUS ST. MARTIN, ‘LES ETREIERS’ BLANC 2024, CÔTES-DU-RHÔNE, FRANCE $18.99 Crous St Martin is a collaboration between Rhone expert Harry Bosmans and Eric Bonnet. Crous Saint Martin Côtes Du Rhône ‘Les Entriers’ Blanc originates from beautiful terroirs composed of sand and clay with a few pebbles, primarily found in Courthézon and the southern region of Orange. 50% Viognier, 25% Grenache, 25% Clairett, this wine is bright light- yellow with beautiful reflections. Nose of exotic fruits brought by the Viognier varietal, then comes Grenache and Clairette with its delicate nose of white flowers. Pair with soft cheeses and fruity, fresh salads.

VENTO DI MARE, SAUVIGNON BLANC 2023, SICILY, ITALY $12.99 (MIXED) With a name that translates from Italian to "wind of the sea,” Vento di Mare benefits from sea breezes that cool the vineyards, preventing pests and aiding in the cultivation of their organic grapes grown on the coast of Sicily. The Vento di Mare Sauvignon Blanc is a simple, dry, and refreshing white wine from the island, notable for its aromatics of white petals and lavender. The palette following through with flavors of lush honeydew melon and exotic fruit. As the vineyard sits by the ocean, we recommend pairing with traditional seafood fare, namely mussels and salmon.
