We’ve been working on this offering for over 6 months now!  Earlier this

year we attended an event featuring many of the single vineyard Burgundy Offerings from Maison Nicolas Potel.  Burgundy can be tricky, and as we move deeper into this incredible category, we’re very conscious of the price-to-value ratio that can be elusive or even non-existent to many who are unfamiliar.

This six-pack offering represents a rare opportunity to own high-intensity and richly textured bottlings from six different villages, made by one producer! We’re only including Village Level and Premier Cru wines in this assortment, but the wines can be purchased individually as well.

Burgundy is where pinot noir reaches it’smost distinctive expression – 150 years of meticulous trial and error with (primarily) one grape have arguably produced the worlds most articulated wine region.

Unique aromatics, flavors, and textures can be specific to vineyard rows/blocks and still fall into a village level categorization while holding on to those traits for decades at times.

Very generous in style, the wines we’ve chosen for this offering showcase three village level and three Premier Cru wines that represent the Northern towns of Gevrey Chambertin all the way down to Volnay in the Cotes de Beaune.

Vineyards so important they named towns after them!

The region known as Burgundy is located in southeastern France and runs North/South along a predominately limestone slope facing east. The slope stretches for 50 miles or so and is scattered with villages that have surrounding vineyards grouped into four main quality levels.

The Four main category levels are  Bourgogne, Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru.  The Grand Crus are the highest level, and are so important that many towns added the title of the top Grand Cru vineyard to the name of the town.

The Labels scattered throughout this message represent the wines in this offering. The first three in the list below being the Village Level wines and the last three being Premier Cru (1er Cru).
