A Great $15 Cabernet Sauvignon

We were immediately impressed when we first discovered the Casa L’Angel Cabernet Sauvignon. Brand new to Georgia, we used it in the Wine Club a few months ago and the response has steadily grown.

This is perfect for those of you who prefer a European style of red wine that can pair with bold dishes.

Tasting Notes:

The L’Angel Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in stainless steel tanks followed by oak aging for only a few months.  The result is a very pure, slightly rustic style of Cabernet that will remind more of France or Chile thank California. Peppery aromas are present, but the purity of fruit is what’s key, without the influence of oak.

Over a period of an hour or so the Casa L’Angel gains some structure, and is a great, inexpensive, cabernet that will stand-up to wild game or more striated cuts of meat serving as a main course.

Only 3000 cases were made, which is unusual for a wine in this price range.
